Woven Strips

Sometimes I get on a kick and several cards get made because one gives other ideas. Saw a card on Pinterest and followed it to this link,
( http://handmade4cards.com/birthday-cards/handmade-birthday-cards-will-love-give-anyone.html )that gave me an idea so this is my version of that.

I cut the strips using a diagonal die from Avery Elle and PP from Gina K. Then I wove the pieces onto the card front. Stamped the sentiment using a Concord & 9th stamp and cut it with a die from the set that came with the stamps. Tied a small bow from ribbon in my stash that matches the polka dotted pp.

  1. This is great!

I have to say, your use of Concord and 9th stamps, got me thinking about the 2 sets I have, so I pulled one turnabout stamp out and used it last week. Also went and looked at the rest of their turnabout line, which of course, is on sale this week. I went back and forth, but finally gave in, as I had a 10% off coupon on top of the sale and got a couple more.

    You are inspiring, my friend!

  2. Sounds to me like I’m an enabler and you are spending your hard earned dollar because of it. I do like my turnaround stamps though and I’m sure you will too. I wish my dollar was closer to par as everything I buy is costing me 30% more at the moment. I’m being quite careful and selective because of this.
    Glad you like the card.

  3. I like your card. I had to go look at the blog post you linked to. We found a lot of fun ideas! I do have a lot of SU, and the card with the owls turned into cats, really caught my eye. Thanks for sharing!

  4. thanks Lisa. You always come up with some great cards and being able to use your StampinUp sets gives you more choices. I have one or two sets from them, but I do find them pricy so don’t buy that much from them.
