This card was made as a practice for a coloring class I was taking. My hubby really likes it, but I wasn’t sure I did. Anyway I played with it a bit more added a touch of sparkle to the flower stamens and some black enamel to the stems of same. That made the whole thing much better. I layered it onto some orange cs and then added it to the black card front. It is slightly crooked but to me that proves handmade so I left it that way. The stamp set is from GKD and I used copics to color it with a few pencils to emphasize some areas. The bling was added partially to cover up a spot I couldn’t erase. My tiger lilies are up in the garden with big buds on them but they need some consistent sunshine before they will be blooming.
You colored this beautifully! Well done!!

Thanks you so much Lisa. I was so worried that it was too dark.

If this is anything what you are learning, then the class is well worth it.

The class was not an expensive one and so far I like it. Haven’t had time to do the next lesson yet, but hopefully this week. It is nice that I can just do them as and when I feel like it rather than follow a live series.

Beautiful!! your coloring is so well done. I thought you intended to make it crooked. Now when I make a mistake I’ll just say that proves it’s handmade

Thanks Gerry. I have learned (took forever) that hand made means it isn’t perfect and that it is okay that way. I used to fret about needing things to be perfect, now I don’t.

I’m glad you like the coloring – when I first did it I almost freaked as it was so dark. I’m not big on copics or the Spectrum Noir markers and much prefer pencils.

Thanks a lot Diana. Once the markers were dry it looked a lot better but at first I was ready to toss it.

Your coloring is beautiful. Always good when you can add some bling to cover up little spots that won’t go away.

Bling is my best friend sometimes. I have one of those (new) electric tools but the switch has broken. SSS tell me they will send me a replacement but the pandemic is making mail really slow and I’m still waiting for 2 orders so I’m not holding my breath on when I’ll get it.

People rarely notice the slightly off things that we, as the creator, notice. It’s beautiful! I bet you’re looking forward to seeing the ones in your garden.

Very pretty!! I love the fabulous sentiment! And using bling to hide some oppsies . . . yep, I’ve definitely done that! No one will ever know! Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
