Using up some scrap pp and blue cs I created this card for the As you See it Challenge. Thank goodness I had most of the snowflakes already cut because without that it would have been impossible to complete in 10 minutes or less. Took me 8.5 minutes to assemble once I had all the bits ready to go.
I used dark navy for the card front and then the two scrap pieces to go on top of that. Snowflakes were already cut so I laid them out and glued them on. I also had the sentiment tag already cut so I just stamped the greeting, inked the sides and popped it on an angle. Added some blue gems to snowflake centers and card was finished.
Beautiful!! Blue is my favorite color for snowflake cards.

I have had that pp for a long time and only had this small piece left. I kept wondering what to do with it so this challenge forced me to use it finally.

Isn’t it amazing what prettiness can be created with the bits box and ten minutes? Your blue snowflake card is lovely. Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It Challenge.

You are right things can be made pretty using much of what we call waste. I hate throwing bits away and find a use for many whenever possible. Even a mistake can be repurposed if we sit on it for a while.

Your snowflakes are lovely. I like the gems in the center.

Thanks Judy. I find the little gems often add a certain something to an otherwise plain card.

It is amazing how quick a card can be done if all the pieces are at hand.

I, too, like to use blue for snowflakes and your design is awesome and under the time limit. Wow!

If I hadn’t found the blue pieces already the right size and had the snowflakes already cut there was no way this could have been done in the time limit. Those snowflakes take a while to get the bits out and if the paper is too thin they tear easily too. The design was a simple one so I could get it done in that limit.
