snowy village

For this card I used a fairly new set from MFT stamps and my new modern oval dies cut in two sizes for a border. I layered cream CS onto Kraft CS and then added another layer of Kraft wrapped with some yellow ribbon tied at the side. The scene was coloured with Prisma pencils and I added some Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy stuff to give dimensional snow. I’m not totally happy with this card and feel it needs something else. For now I’m leaving it alone as I’m sure an idea will appear in my brain at some point. It works for the challenge at Sunday Stamps so I am adding it there.

It has been a rainy gray day up till now, but the sun has appeared so things seem a bit more cheerful outside. Thanks for popping in and I hope you are enjoying a good day.

    1. The changes they’ve made in WordPress are annoying. I answer a comment post that is in the list and it doesn’t show up in my actual post. Sorry to appear not to be saying thanks. I’m sure I did but it isn’t here.

    1. Thanks Gerry – its funny but I really wasn’t sure if I liked it but as so often happens the next day I realized that I did.

  2. Those “modern ovals” are fantastic. I’m going to have to put those on my wish list. Your fluffy stuff gives your card wonderful dimension, too. The way you look at a challenge and do it your own way is inspiring. Hope you enjoyed the rain and the sun. We could definitely use some rain here, but the temperatures are supposed to be under 90 for the rest of the week, which is a huge plus.

  3. Thanks. I like those modern ovals for two reasons. Versatility and if I cut them in half they look like many of those arched die shapes too.
