In a tutorial I saw a card similar to this one, only it was a true slimline card and used a very large sentiment. I don’t have many huge sentiments in dies or stamps, but I liked the idea of the card and decided to try making something similar. I did use the same colours but as I don’t have a shadow die for behind my die cut I created my own by hand cutting around the words. I’m not sure of the brand for the word die, but it is either from Spellbinders or Sizzix. The cat is from a Kokorosa die set and I used a marbled PP scrap for him. I added him as an after thought so had to get creative with the card fold so he would stand up above it. I fussy cut in behind him to make it work. I used some PP for the word die so it looks a bit like it has Zentangle doodling although it was cut from a butterfly black and white pattern. I think this works for the new Word Power challenge so I am entering it there.
My hubby really likes the card which is enough validation for me. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it and any comments you leave.

The cat looks so cute sitting on top of your card. And I love the black with the yellow and white.
