The other day when playing with the Kitchen Sink stamp set I had won from last year – I stamped out a couple of extra flowers. Initially I didn’t like them at all but they kind of grew on me a bit so I fussy cut them out and thought about how to use them. I had a panel with some foil taped strips from a few days ago and placed the flowers on it. Then I went to bed. The next day I took a look and decided that they would work with the foiled piece.

As I had used some of the purple shades of Distress Oxides to do the flowers I decided on Lovely Lavender CS by GKD for the base card. Using more of the stamps in the set I stamped some leaves and then popped up the 2 flowers on top. Added the sentiment in the corner using an incentive set from GKD called Inspiring Poppies. I’m still not sure about this 2 or 3 step stamping but will keep practicing the technique.
Funny how things can grow on us. Of course the flowers are so pretty in purple.

We took advantage of a sunny afternoon and some dry pavement to go out today so this is the first chance I’ve had to be on the computer. It is nice to come home and then find lovely comments on my latest uploads.

It’s funny how things grow on us, with a bit of time. This is a great card! Keep playing with the 2 step stamps, I bet you will learn to love them, though they can be totally frustrating at times, they do come up with great images.

Thanks so much Golda – I find I often initially don’t like something I’ve made, but I’ve learned not to judge it but instead to put it on one side and look at it again another day. My perception usually changes and if it doesn’t then I pull it apart and begin again.
