Fall Leaves

Decided to follow the lead of my stamping buddy Bonnie and enter into another challenge – Just Add Ink #473. I think this is the first time I’ve entered this challenge.

I started by stamping the background piece with various leaves from a GKD set called Stitched leaves. I used versamark ink and heat set with clear powder. I then used Distress Oxides to get some colour. I already had the 2 baskets made a long time ago and not used; as well as a gifted set of autumn leaf stickers. I placed the baskets using dimensionals and added the leaves inside them. I also added a couple of pumpkins as well. Using some metallic gold elasticized twine I tied it at the top ending in a small bow. I had gold embossed the word onto some metallic type card stock and popped it onto top of the twine. The bonus is I quite like this card myself – sometimes I don’t.

    1. Thanks Jan – Someone gave them to me a year or so ago and I never used them until now. They are really pretty as the edges are glittered.

    1. Thanks Lisa – I had those leaves for quite a while and forgot about them. I don’t know why I didn’t use them before but they sure worked here.

    1. At first I thought it was a bit too busy but somehow it works and I’m glad others like it. It was an easy card to make considering my hands this week.
