The masking I tried had left me with the shape I needed but some very messy lines. After looking at it again I realized that I could rescue the actual stamping and the background by cutting it out in the diamond shape and using it on another card front. Once it was cut out I added a border with a fine gold pen and using the same pen I added some gold to the snowflakes. I also added some sparkle with a Sakura gelly roll pen. I added three gems to the middle of snowflakes for added interest after which I adhered the entire thing to the card front. Added the 2 sentiments on angles and am much happier with the result now.
So cool how this came together.

Thanks Bonnie. I may have trouble with CAS at times but finding a way to use a bad job seems to be something I am good at.

I’m glad I didn’t have to waste the entire thing. At least I can use the rest of the base card in other ways as well. Glad you like it.

Lovely card! the soft inking and stamping makes me think of a fuzzy sweater – so cozy! I like the gold pen edging! Thank you for playing along with us at CC&S!

Thanks – I tried a different combination of blending distress oxides and liked the results.

Great idea for the sketch…looks like you filled the space in perfectly. Sometimes those reveals just don’t work like we thought but glad you saved the image.

Thanks so much. I just love distress oxides as the blending is so easy, but not getting good lines was disappointing at first.

What a fabulous way to save something that wasn’t quite right and make something beautiful! Great job on this.

Doing the other design while I thought about how to fix the bad one helped me to look at things differently. It worked out great once I decided what to do.
