A few days ago I messed up some stamping with a SSS set I’ve just purchased called Be Kind . I put it to one side in case I could redeem it in some way and today managed to do just that. As I had accidentally doubled up the original stamped image I decided to stamp a second one and deliberately double it up by moving the cs fractionally, on purpose. Then I added a hint of colour with my inktense pencils and die cut both pieces. Using the heron stamp (don’t know the make) I coloured in the heron and fussy cut it out. I popped that up on top of the leaves. For the background I chose a pp (very old stash) and dry embossed with a Darice Cattails folder. I backed that with a red border and added it to the pink card front. Stamped Hello with a new Divinity Design set called Fur-ever Friends. I had a challenging time getting the colours for this, as with no names to go by, it was that much harder to pick the right ones.
I am literally sitting here in tears over the beauty of your journey and the scene you created. Way to go my friend.

Another saved card. I love that you don’t give up. The scene is very serene. A few years ago a heron decided to visit our neighborhood and unfortunately our neighbors fish pond. The bird was huge and flew on our roof . I thought it was a pterodactyl.

I LOL when I read your comment. They are big birds for sure and I will never forget my first sighting of one when out on a day trip with hubby. I made him take me back to that spot many times just so I could watch them. Very majestic birds and great fishermen. Anyone around here with a pond and fish has to keep a grating over the top of the pond because otherwise the herons and raccoons raid the pond.

Lovely card! I like the cattails and the leaves for the bird to fly over.

I enjoyed creating this scene for the heron. I had the stamp out as initially I thought I might use it on a sympathy card. In the end I went with butterflies and one with dragonflies (not posted) instead. I like the stamp and don’t pull it out often enough to decided to use it before putting it away again.

Glad you lik eit, I hate to waste a good piece of cs so often let my brain percolate on something until an idea pops for the rescue.
