This card fits 2 challenges – Mod Squad and As you See it. Regarding my preference of which cards I enjoy sending I would have to say that I love making and sending all the cards I create, with most of them being birthday cards. I pride myself on not missing a birthday for someone I care about, although on occasion I am a bit late with the mailing. This card can be used as a birthday greeting or a just because card. I enjoy sending those as well.

I had this napkin that I’d saved as I really liked the foiled design angled along one corner. I separated the layers and glued the foiled pretty piece to some cs which I then adhered to the fun fold card piece. I added some mirri card on the folded back section. Using my new Divinity Design stamp set called bear hugs I stamped the little bear, hand coloured with Inktense pencils and die cut him. Using a scrap piece of purple card layered onto some black I added that to the folded part. After which, I added the die cut along with the sentiment strip from same set. I also stamped the hello on the back section and glued some fall out bits from another die I had used earlier for some added interest. The hidden folded part is blank but ready for a personal message.
Your coloured bear is lovely – I thought he was a die cut pre-purchased piece at first! I think birthdays and just because are the best cards too. Weddings are great but you don’t get to do so many of those. Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenge.

Cute card! I had no idea that was a napkin.

i think the napkin came from a recently attended celebration of life. I liked it so much, instead of using it, I brought it home. Too pretty to throw away.

I’m not sure if the beautiful napkin or the adorable bear caught my eye first. This is such a great blending of different elements. Beautiful coloring on your bear and bike.

Thanks so much. I like foiled items but never have much success doing it myself. This was one already created so good to use.

Lovely, lovely, sweet card Johanna. You’re a genius to use a napkin that way and that little bike riding bear is so cute.

Glad you like it. I had fun making it. Wish I could show you a picture with it closed. The purples matched the foils pretty well. I’ve already sent this to someone so can’t take another picture for you.

That foiled corner is really stunning and great to hear it’s a repurposed napkin too – so clever! Great paired with your sweet bear too – a wonderful way to deliver special birthday greetings and sure to make the recipient feel special. Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!
