Managed to get this finished just in the nick of time for uploading to the JUGS challenge.

Took a small panel of black paper and stamped the daffodils in versamark. I then heat set Lemon Drop Sparkle on top. Added a hint of colour for leaves and flower centers with Prisma pencils. Cut panel down a bit more and added to card front. Used a sentiment from an Easter set called spring time baskets cutting it quite small and then added as shown. This card came together very quickly in spite of the fact that my first attempt didn’t work. I like the striking effect of lemon on black.
Beautiful! Love the tulips on black.

Thanks Lisa – it worked better than expected on the 2nd try. Messed up the embossing on the 1st one. Can maybe redeem about half of it.

Now that is the way to extend the use of that stamp. Great pop of color with lemon yellow.

I have always liked this stamp so it was good to use it this way. The yellow embossing also glitters so it is really pretty in RL.

Doing something with a black background is a nice change from the usual and I really like how this one turned out.

Gorgeous. That’s one of my favorite stamps. Your coloring is so soft and delicate. It looks great against the black.

Thanks Judy – I really like this one myself. Managed to save the original by cutting it out and cutting off the damaged part. I’ll post it but probably not until tomorrow.

This is beautiful, Jo. That embossing powder really glows on the black and I love the touch of pencil shading. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

Wow! I love the image you chose for your card and then to emboss it with the lemon was genius! Love the way you added just a few touches of colour too. A stunning card! Vicky x

Thanks Golda. I managed to rescue the original try as well but haven’t posted it yet. Am waiting as it may fit another challenge?
