I had seen a card using an elephant to blow bubbles on Pinterest and the idea stayed with me enough to want to play with a version of my own. I matched the colours as close as possible bearing in mind that I don’t have any StampinUp inks. Thanks to a good friend I do have some of the card stock so was able to mat my effort with two of the colours accurately that way. My elephant is a free digi stamp that I resized, printed, hand coloured and fussy cut. I had made a stencil of the smallest window frame die I own and used that to create the background in the close matched colours. Then using a small alphabet stamp set from Hero Arts I stamped each letter to make the sentiment. I added a few pink hearts as well. In addition I stamped the word love at the bottom. Don’t know who made that small set, but think I got it at Michaels a long time ago.
Super cute! I have an elephant stamp that I think maybe blows bubbles as one of its options. Love the colors.

Thanks a lot Lisa. I had fun playing with this one although my first try didn’t quite work so I fussy cut the elephant and started over with the background.

Thanks Judy – I couldn’t get one colour very well with the inks but managed okay with the others.

Super cute card. Such an adorable little elephant image trumpeting his message. Love that your stamped each letter individually. Great take on this color challenge.

Glad you like it Gayle. Had to laugh at your comment about Will and eating in response to mine. Hope he has a happy birthday when it arrives. I’m lucky because my hubby cooks and is reasonably good at it when he does so. The clean up however, is another story.

Too cool to create your own stencil! I love the symmetry to this and especially the coloring of image itself of your focal image.

I can’t do what you do, but occasionally manage to do something along the same vein. Since making this yesterday I’ve been thinking of another way to use the stencil and use gesso.

Oh I cannot wait to see. Remember this is not a competition or race but an expression of your creative and imaginative self.

Oh I know that, but sometimes you come up with something and explain it and I wonder if I could do it too. Its hard to explain, but often when I am seeing what you do and how you do it I yearn to try for myself. Then another idea pops into my head and I go with that. Lately I’ve been thinking about gesso and colour and wondering and now it isn’t letting go, so it is obviously time for me to experiment. Did a bit of it yesterday actually.

I liked the concept and wondered if I could make it work. 2nd try worked perfectly.
