This card is a wedding variation of something I did at Christmas using snowflakes. I liked the elegance of the look on those cards and decided a wedding card would be another way to use the idea. This is done on kraft cs with heat embossing flowers in gold after stamping them randomly up the left side with versamark ink. Added some gold washi tape to create a stripe and using the same washi I cut a gold heart with some stitched dies. Cut one in cream as well. Added the sentiment from an Altenew sentiment set and heat set it with gold. Put the 2 hearts together, added an embellishment from an old earring and some ribbon to finish it. Don’t have any weddings yet but having a card ready to go is a good idea.
Very elegant looking. Nice card!

You have officially entered the arena of mixed media. Old earring, you have got that looking anything but old. It would even make a perfect anniversary because each year is added to the ever part.

Thanks Bonnie – you are right it would be fine for an anniversary too. At some point I’ll have someone to give/send it to.

Wonderful wedding card. How great that you were able to adapt a design from another card. The gold is very elegant and would work for a 50th Anniversary because by then, they’re definitely happy ever after.

This is a beautiful card and perfect for a wedding! Love the elegance of it and that you used part of an earring as an embellishment. That’s a good idea for when 1 gets lost.
