DRU Challenge #144 – Seas the Day

I have 27 minutes to get this posted as my 2nd entry into this challenge at DiesRUs. My card is a CASE of something seen on Pinterest but I changed it up quite a lot. Used mostly scraps for this one. I first stamped the starfish and sand dollar and then fussy cut, inked the edges and added a bit of colour. I had the strip of blue left from yesterday so tore it at each end and attached it and the images as you see. I inked the edge of the linen look panel. Using a seahorse stamp from the same set as other images (GKD) I stamped it on the back of the coloured cs and fussy cut it out. Coloured piece is from a photo actually. The other seahorse is a small SSS dies that I have and I used a left over piece of background paper I created a while ago. Added them and hand drew gold lines on each side of the main panel.

    1. I hadn’t planned on doing a 2nd card but when I had it finished I wondered if it would fit a challenge. I remembered this one and got it in under the wire. Glad you like it.

  1. Thanks Bonnie. I’m having a lot of fun creating at the moment. Got a few ideas milling about. Not sure if I’ll get them all done but giving it a lot of effort.

  2. Under pressure….glad you posted your card in time. Love the sand dollar and your starfish. So creative that your one seahorse is a photo…Clever.

  3. It was a misprint of my hubby’s and I took it figuring I could use it somewhere. Figured it would look different for a seahorse and I liked it. Glad you like it too.

  4. Thanks Gerry. Got another one almost done on my desk. Not sure if I will post right away though.

  5. What a beautiful way to use pieces! You have a wonderful imagination. I know you said you CASEd it, but I also saw that you changed it quite a bit. You are very creative.
