Patterned Hearts

Just Us Girls #538

I had these papers and for some reason never really got into using them. This challenge forced me to think about pp and this is what I came up with. I like how all the neutral patterns work together. Used a heart die from a Lawn Fawn set and cut several to glue along the edge of the dark brown piece. Only glued them at the bottom points so when adding the rectangle to the card front the hearts are not stuck down to the plaid. Sentiment is white heat embossed and is from a Divinity Designs set I got in January this year. One of my friends is a nun and she will love this card when I send it to her later this year.

  1. Thanks Lisa. In general I don’t use religious sentiments as for some people they simply aren’t appreciated. This group however likes them so I’m glad to have one or two I can use.

  2. This is a wonderful card, Johanna. I love how the different patterned papers work so well together. And I, for one, love the sentiment. The way that you have the hearts tilted in different directions adds to the fun.

  4. Thanks Gayle. This was a quick and easy card and didn’t require a lot of brain power. Sometimes it is good to have something like that to make.
