PP514 – A Sketch Challenge from Jaydee & Global Design Project #264 | CASE the Designer

I managed to get this card to work for 2 challenges which is nice. Doesn’t always happen, but it was really easy this week. The stamp set is an incentive set from GKD called Botanical blocks and it was nice to use it as I haven’t done so often. I stamped the 3 blocks in different distress oxide colours and when dry used a little distress glaze on top. The small bottom strip is left over from a background piece I made earlier this year and the sentiment is from the same set but I cut it into 2 pieces. One on the front and one inside which says, ‘but I will always be there for you’. Added a few rhinestones and glued the panel to card front. I’m happy with this card.
Very pretty and how nice that it works for a couple of challenges. I don’t often cut my sentiments apart, but it works great for using part of this sentiment outside and in.

Thanks a lot Judy. Stamp surgery is scary sometimes and I’m always concerned I might lose the parts.

Thanks – I agree the sentiment is a nice one. Can be used for a variety of reasons too.

This is so pretty. I have this stamp set and have never used it. I think I will need to pull it out; thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Lisa – isn’t it funny how we have various items and for whatever reason we don’t use them? I’m trying to get every single stamp in my collection to be inked at least once. Probably unrealistic but I keep trying.

Love the colors and I, too, may have this stamp set and never saw ink! I always get a little nervous doing surgery on sentiments but this one seems to have been made to split. Your card turned out beautifully.

This set works perfectly for these two challenges. Pull it out and see what you come up with. Thanks for the love.

Johanna, this is a really great card. I love that you’re trying to use all of your unused stamps. I think I’ve only cut 1 or 2 sentiments apart. I can rarely get them to stamp the way they were intended, afterwards (probably hold my scissors at an angle) and have found masking (the stamp) to be much easier for me. I’m glad you got it to work well!
