This card combines the negative pieces from a previous project along with a new die from MFT and an image from my new stamp set from MFT. The card is a small slimline 3 and 3/4″ by 6 and 1/2″. I glued the two negative Hug pieces together and added some shimmer over the top then set them aside. Taking a left over piece of the wild Lilac CS I die cut the birthday circle and adhered it to the card front. Then I added the hug piece underneath. After stamping the image, I coloured it with pencils and a copic marker before die cutting it. I die cut 2 more to add some dimension once they were glued together. I made a small bow and added this at the bottom and then added a few tiny pearls to finish it. The card fits 3 challenges so I have entered it into Just us Girls, Global Design theme challenge and Double Trouble Paper Crafting.

Lovely card! The critters are so cute. Love the many dies you were able to use together. One of these days I will give this mini-slimline a try.

Thanks Lisa. I enjoyed making this card yesterday. It was a nice mental break for me after a somewhat stressful morning.

Oh Johanna, this couldn’t possibly be any sweeter. Love the combinations of dies you put together so perfectly. Thanks for the idea of a mini slim line.

Thanks Gerry. Its funny how the slim line came about because I wanted to fit the purple layer on to a white card base but its size wasn’t right. In the end I just fitted the card base around the layer.

Love this card. Your awesome purple, the dies and design. I’m writing those card dimensions down as that size looks more card like than the larger size. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks Gayle – honestly I didn’t really plan for a smaller slimline, it happened because the die cut layer was too big for the smaller card base so I fit the card base to this layer.

Beautiful color and love the window and sentiment dies… very pretty. Thanks for joining us with “Layer It On” at Double Trouble, but don’t forget to enter your card in The Crafter’s Choice too because all you needed for their challenge was pearls and/or lace. Link is on our challenge and I’m sure they would love you to enter at The Crafter’s Choice too.
