just-us-girls-challenge-597-trend-week.html has a black and white challenge this week and I decided to try my hand at a black and white card slimline. Using my new dies from MFT I cut the circular floral pieces and after measuring the placements glued them to a white scrap piece. Added this to the same black CS and then onto the white card front. I then used the stamp set from the MFT kit called Friends Like You, to create the sentiment. Heat embossed in white and I added some black gems here and there to finish it off. This will be going to a good friend who is struggling with her hubby’s declining health. He has dementia and it is very challenging for her lately, although she never complains.

I’m happy you like it Lisa. I used a thin CS for cutting these and had no issues. Paper was slightly textured so it gave a nice look.

Thanks Judy – I am so happy to be able to craft a few things although trying to find my stuff is a challenge. Managed to find most of my stamp sets and some stencils, but cannot locate EB folders yet.

Thanks so much Golda. You are great for my ego. I had to laugh at myself because when I sat down to start something yesterday I honestly couldn’t remember what to do about cutting a card front. I had to really think about it for a few minutes. It is like being a beginner all over again lol.

Thanks Gayle but unfortunately my craft room isn’t finished. Hubby was kind and has set up my tables and placed boxes so I can open them and look for stuff. Once I had my big shot and misti set up I could begin to make something. Can’t find my embossing folders but I did find my stencils and some pastes. Builder says he should begin installing by month end so we live in hope.
