Finally had a moment to create something and sat down to begin. Brain freeze – I couldn’t think of anything initially so I looked through the posts from the design team and remembered this new die that I’ve only used once since its purchase. Cut the red and another in black and offset them slightly. Decided on the Kraft CS but still had no firm plan in my head. Looked through all my scraps of paper to see what was there and decided on the green pp and a small piece of cs. Cut the banners using 2 sizes of die and added them together then cut the strips and added those before adding the banner on top. Decided I liked it so adhered it all but thought it needed a bit more so I used the bird stamp I’ve just gotten from The Cat’s Pajamas and stamped it on a small white scrap which I then fussy cut. Took the heart stamp from same set and randomly stamped it and added the small row of gems across the banner top. Sometimes a card evolves even when my brain isn’t fully engaged in the design and I quite like how this one looks.
Lovely! I like how you offset the die. The bird is a nice addition.

Great take on the sketch. I really like the patterned paper peeking out behind the dies and sections. Brain freeze unfrozen. LOL!

Thanks Gayle – I’m sure we all go through a similar process but I find it fascinating how the brain works at times. Like today I can sit at my desk and have no idea of what to do but somehow something comes and the result can surprise me.

Thanks a lot Lisa. My techie peson is here this weekend helping to set up the system which has been a bit challenging. While he was working on my computer, I worked on this card.

It turned out great. I like the offset die cut – the black really sets it off. Adding the hearts all over was truly inspired.

Thanks Judy – I’m glad you think inspired as if you were in my head yesterday you would have been laughing. There are times when I wonder where my brain is.

This turned out really great. Love the offset die cut and that pp is perfect and so are the bird and hearts. That pretty much covers it doesn’t it??? Some of the best cards are created while brain freeze is thawing out. lol

Yup – I’ve learned to just let go and do whatever seems to work when I don’t have a plan. Sometimes I’m lucky, like yesterday, and it works.

I love that you can create a great card with no plan in mind! Love the offset sentiment.

Thanks it was fun to get one made in spite of the brain freeze.

Brain freeze leads to thinking outside the box that we tend to make for ourselves.
