Daffodils etc.

Just Us Girls Challenge #621 – Photo Week

For me, nothing denotes spring more than a garden full of daffodils and I can already see the spears showing in my garden. For this card I took a piece of DSP from StampinUp and fussy cut around the top edges of the leaves and flowers before adding it to the card front. I left the top edge without any glue but on the photo you cannot see that it is loose with a bit of dimension. The little sheep/lamb comes from an older set by GKD and after die cutting it I added Sakura glaze on his feet and face with the black pen and then did swirls of white over the body which doesn’t show on photo but to the naked eye is evident. I popped him up on some foam tape. The sentiment comes from the same set and was heat embossed in white. I’m entering it into JUG’s although it isn’t anything like the photo.

    1. Thanks Lisa. My girlfriend wasn’t sure she liked this paper but I love it and when I told her I would fussy around it she was really surprised. It works great although a bit time consuming to cut.

  1. You are on a roll, Johanna. I love the field of daffodils on that dark card base. Bunny or lamb they are both white and you were inspired by that photo. It works.

  2. I love your card and it does have to do with my photo!!! The flowers, spring, a cute little animal!!! It’s just darling! I love that you fussy cut the flowers on DSP to make your background!!! And you did so many details on the lamb! The black background is unique and makes for a striking card! I picked the inspiration photo this week and your card is a GREAT take on it! Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!

  5. Your daffodils are beautiful against the dark background and definitely say SPRING! I saw the first daffodil buds today. The lamb is a perfect addition.
