For this card I used a new stamp set that I just received by Catherine Pooler. Its been around for a while and I’ve admired it in the past, so decided to purchase it. The challenge is for pink and gold and I’ve seen Koi that are not just orange so I watercoloured mine pink after gold heat embossing. The bubbles are also gold but look green in the photo for some reason. As well I used a gold mirror scrap piece and a lattice die from Paperrose.com. This I die cut twice, once in the gold and once in a marbled pink paper which I then offset slightly when gluing to the card front. In R.L. the gold really shines especially the mirror piece but I can’t get a photo to show that and I tried several times. I have deliberately left off a sentiment as I’m not sure what I want at the moment. I quite like the end result for this card.

Lovely card! I can see the mirror paper would not work well in the photo. Anything shiny seems to not photograph well. I like the grid behind the fish.

Very pretty. It’s so frustrating trying to photograph anything shiny. The grid make a nice background. You might use this for an encouragement card with the sentiment “Just keep swimming”.

If my hubby wasn’t so busy I would leave the photography to him as he does a much better job than me. Glad you like it and I like the sentiment suggestion.

What a great lattice panel. I’m sure your shine is awesome but the card is very creative and great for your challenges.

It seems like shiny either has a huge flash, so you can’t get a good picture, or you can’t see that it’s shiny. I really do like your card.

you are right and I get frustrated taking photos. I’m lousy at staging them as well. Glad you like it.

Gorgeous card Johanna. I love that Koi stamp and it looks fabulous against the lattice panel. I have trouble photographing mirror card too, it’s quite frustrating.
