Sympathy cards are the hardest to create and a one layer sympathy was a challenge for me. I had an idea in mind and then realized that it wasn’t one layer so basically I took the idea and did it with stamps rather than the die cuts I had ready. Stamp sets used are one from Concord & 9th, 2 from GKD as well as the sentiment which is from Joy Clair. I stamped the square frame in Blueprint Sketch once normally and then a 2nd time on an angle. The sentiment fit nicely into the square. Then I stamped the dragonflies and coloured them with Prisma pencils. I love dragonflies and enjoy watching them fly around. We just learned that several of the species are under threat as are many other insects so it is nice to see them where we live. Although we don’t have water for them they do like to visit the wildflowers etc. Thanks for looking.
Love the squares around the greeting. I see a few dragonflies, but not many. Nice peaceful card.

Lovely card and design. You inspired me to pull out my dragonfly stamp on a card for this challenge too.

Thanks Lisa. For me CAS and one layer cards are always the most challenging.

Such a beautiful CAS sympathy card! Love the design and the dragonflies, and you nailed the “no layers” challenge too. Thank you for sharing and playing along with us at AAA Cards, hope to see you in future challenges too! Take care and keep crafting!

You made a wonderful one-layer sympathy card. Both of those things are difficult to do, and you did them both in one. Love the subtleness of the coloring, as well.
