Peach coloured Hibiscus

Lately I seem to have been collecting bits and pieces that have been made and not used or like this panel is piece leftover from a very different project. It is quite sparkly in real life and is on the darker side of peach but the photograph makes it look a bit orange.

I added it to an A4 card front and then cut some thin strips from a dark gray CS to edge it. Black was too harsh so the gray was a nice compromise. Sentiment is from a Hampton Bay set and I fussy cut it and added a bit of sparkle here and there. The butterfly is from an ephemera package. I added some thread to give it antenna.

A very easy and quick card because most of the work was already done before I started. One of my friends is recovering from some knee surgery so I think I shall send it to her with a nice message inside. Thanks for taking a look.

    1. Thanks Judy, I agree that the ephemera butterfly is nice. The whole package had some lovely ones inside.

    1. Thanks. It was nice to use this piece. It was leftover from something I did last year. Too nice not to use.

  1. WOW! You have such a wonderful collection of beautiful scraps; how you incorporated them into your artwork is simply perfect. The butterfly and strips you added are delightful touches that flawlessly bring everything together. Thank you for joining us at the Colorful Options Challenge. Wishing you a creative and peaceful week. Cheers, Makira

  2. Hello my friend … just wanted to let you know that WordPress is giving me trouble. It won’t let me come to your blog via your entry into our challenge blogs any longer. Keeps saying I don’t have an account but obviously I do! I have spent all morning trying to figure this out but the only thing I’ve come up with so far is I did figure out how to follow you and have come here through the Communication tab. SO if I you don’t see me commenting on your challenge entries, it’s not because I don’t want to! Not sure why this is happening and hopefully it will correct itself soon … what a PITA! LOL
