ColorHues is asking for pink and silver and I remembered I still had this DSP from StampinUp that I believe may be from the year before last. I cut a panel to fit my silver card front and then die cut the words using a set from MFT. Then I cut several more of the same words so I could lift it up from the main piece. I added a black layer first and then built up the layers to finish with the DSP. A silver snowflake from GKD and a few embellishments from Trinity Stamps and the card was done.
I have finished my Christmas cards finally although not all have yet been added to my blog. At least now I can concentrate on Christmas baking and other prep. We are hosting my yoga group for wine and cheese Monday evening and I have been preparing as much as possible ahead of time. The bases for a couple of desserts are done and I can finish the rest tomorrow.
We have snow here although I don’t think it will stick around for too long as it rains in between. Thanks for stopping by, it is appreciated.

Lovely card. The snowflake matches the snowflakes in the PP perfectly. Love the eclipse technique

Thanks Judy. The snowflake die from GKD is one of the most frequently used at Christmas. It makes gorgeous flakes.

Thanks. I don’t do much baking but there is a special dessert that I do for my hubby. It is one of those make ahead and freeze types so I make and forget it for a few weeks.

Such a lovely card and the eclipse technique works so well with it. xx Enjoy your baking – something I’m not very good at – but I do like to eat it……! xx

Thanks a lot. Years ago I was known for my desserts but in recent years I don’t do that many. I’m getting lazy in my old age, lol.

Thanks Lisa. When I initially cut my layer I wasn’t sure how I was going to use it. Leaving it for a day or two allowed me to come up with this idea.

Johanna, This is so creative and lovely. Love the way you lifted the letters in the greeting and using black for one of the layers was a nice idea. That snowflake is gorgeous too. Have fun at your party and thanks for joining us at Color Hues.

Thanks so much. Initially I had added a silver backing, but when I started to put in the letters it got lost so the black helped to pop things a bit.

WOW…what a beautiful card Johanna!! That PP is so pretty and matches with the die cut snowflake perfectly! And the eclipse technique is also gorgeous with your die cut sentiments. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely card with us and making the PINK & SILVER colors shine for The Color Hues Challenge!! Marcia (DT)
