stay awesome

The stamp set used here is from Altenew and is called Leaf Clusters. I’ve had it on my desk since it arrived as I wanted to use it. Although I did use one stamp, I only got around to using more of them for the current JUG’s colour challenge. I chose several of the leaf stamps and added them with the 3 colours as you see on the card. The sentiment is from the same set and I inked with 2 of the colours adding 3 gems underneath.

I also went around the edge of the panel with a black pen so it would stand out a bit from the base. The navy ink I used looks almost black in the photograph.

I’ve just learned that my sick friend has been admitted to hospital so I’m quite concerned. I can’t go and visit because the infection risk is too high. Right now they have patients all over the place with no rooms to put them in. Fortunately, or perhaps not, considering how sick she is, they’ve found a small room for her for the time being. Our hospitals are overflowing with sick people at the moment. It is pretty scary and the news last night suggests it is the same all across Canada. No wonder the medical people are leaving in droves – they simply don’t get a break.

Thanks for stopping by and if you would, a prayer for my friend would be wonderful. She is quite a special person and needs all the help she can get right now.

  1. Very pretty. I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I’ll keep her in my prayers. Our hospitals are getting crowded again too between Covid and RSV.

    1. Thanks a lot Judy. Isn’t it awful just how bad the health systems have become in recent years. Very worrying.

      1. Yes, I did see it on the news. Don’t blame the doctors though. I think many health care workers are being short changed by governments.

  2. Using the color challenge colors to stamp the leaf branches was a great idea. Love the CAS vibe to your card. Our area is being triple hit with flu, covid and rsv too. Best to stay away from hospitals if you can. Hugs for your friend.

    1. Thanks a lot Gayle. I am keeping my fingers crossed for my friend. Visitors aren’t allowed at the moment, but even if they were I would be hesitating. So many sick with all types of virus and I don’t want to be exposed.

  3. Johanna, your card is lovely and one that your friend will be thrilled to receive. Thank you for joining us at Just Us Girls.
Sending prayers to your friend; may she have a speedy, complete recovery.
Do you live in Canada? I do – Alberta. If so, how wonderful to have another Canadian playing along in our challenges.

      1. we’ve had very mild temperatures and very little snow this year. However we live 900′ above sea level and today it snowed a lot up here with only rain down below. Its kind of weird.

  4. Thanks, I can report that she is at home as of yesterday, but there is still a way to go before she is fully recovered.
