hearts and words

It doesn’t happen all the time, but every once in a while I make a card that works for 2 challenges. In this case the new challenge at WordPower and also the first one of the year at As You See It. As you can see I followed the sketch in several ways but added my own touch to the hearts so I could incorporate the words for the other challenge. I bought these tiny word dies when visiting a friend in Texas and they’ve come in handy several times since. Not sure which manufacturer unfortunately. The sentiment is from PaperRoses a set of cut aparts, and the intricate die is from Tattered Lace. I used some PP scraps to cut the hearts and the panel piece with some Mulberry Paper as a background panel.

This card looks better in R.L. than it does in the photo. I’m glad I found a few minutes in my craft room today. We’ve been taking down the Xmas decor and by the looks of the sky we got the outside done just in time. Snow is predicted and it sure looks like we are going to get hit with a lot.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you and your comments. Hope you’ve enjoyed a good weekend.

    1. Thanks so much. Unfortunately the snow is coming down as I type. Settling a lot and the trucks have been by twice already.

  3. Happy new year Johanna! Those hearts just pop against the black and white background; I love the detail on the die. Great idea tocuse the hearts to spell out your message too. Thanks for playing with us over at As You See It!

  5. I love your choices of paper and colours, Johanna! Especially, the bandanna print! They all work so well together! Those little words are perfect for the hearts, aren’t they? The rectangular foliage die for the center is very elegant, too! Thanks for using our sketch at As You See It Challenges!
