plaid gift package

My card is made totally from scraps left over from other projects. Some bits were done so long ago that I can’t remember which dies were used, so the border at the bottom is nameless for this reason. The plaid package was done with Spellbinders Kaleidoscopic dies. The ribbon is like a Washi tape, the star added as an embellishment to it. The embossed background was done with a folder that came with my mini die cutter from We R, sentiment is from Joy Clair and the gems are from my stash. Even the note card is a leftover small one from a long ago project. It was an easy card because most of it was already done and just needed arranging so meeting the recipe at As You See It was a no brainer.

Thanks for stipping by, it is appreciated, as are any comments you may leave.

  1. I really like that you’ve created this entirely from scraps. Such a good feeling when you do! At least, I find it is. Thanks for joining us again at As You See It.

  3. Johanna this is a great card with a lovely masculine feel – I love that the diecut plaid panel is the star of the show. To think that it all came out of the scraps box too – always satisfying to use up those bits and pieces and totally on point for this week’s recipe. Thanks for playing along with our recipe challenge over at As You See It!

    1. Thanks Joanne. I love to use up scraps that my mind simply won’t let me throw away and some of these have been around for a long time.

  4. Great ‘housecleaning’ project, Johanna! My favourite part is the die cut plaid as a focal point! but that embossed texture is wonderful, too! And to think you found all that colour coordination and compliance with the challenge out of your magic stash! I wish my stash was as useful! Maybe if I went to it more often…. Thanks for cooking up our recipe at As You See It Challenges!

    1. Thanks Heather, I’ve always been quite frugal from necessity, so I keep anything I may be able to reuse in some way. Eventually some bits and pieces arrange themselves on my desk – lol.
