spring chicken

Inkspirational has a CAS challenge with a twist of using a balloon, and AAA is an anything goes with a twist of adding spring colours. Fortunately it wasn’t hard to make a card that fits both these challenges.

My stitched background is a die cut using an unbranded set and the little chicks are new dies just received from Kokorosa. The sentiment is also from Kokorosa but from a stamp and die set. I like these fonts and sentiments. My balloon is from a Spellbinders set that I’ve had for a long time. Once I had die cut the chicks from white CS I used Inktense pencils to colour them. I placed them on the rectangle and once satisfied with the look I adhered them. I added the balloon separately.

This was an easy card to make and quite fast too. Thanks for stopping by. I do hope you are beginning to see signs of spring. We’ve had some lovely sunshine and warm temperatures and a lot of my spring flowers are now out. Makes the garden look so pretty.

  1. Thanks Judy. It was fun to make. Too bad you are back to winter, but if it makes you feel better our warm spell is supposed to end tomorrow.

  2. Your card for both the Inkspirational and AAA challenges is delightful! The stitched background adds a lovely texture, and those little chicks from Kokorosa are adorable. The combination of the Spellbinders balloon and the vibrant colors of spring creates such a cheerful and uplifting design. Great job!
