Hope you have …

You would think that after cleaning up my work space I would be smart enough to put a stamp back after using it, but somehow I didn’t. Now I have to spend some time determining which stamp set it came from so I can put it away properly. Anyway because it was still in my Misti I used it as my sentiment for this challenge.

Mostly this is made up of the found scraps that came after my initial tidying up. I had already added the background butterfly section to the gold oval and after fussy cutting the little dragonfly was already there to0. I stamped the top part of the butterfly in Picked Raspberry and clear heat embossed before fussy cutting. I added it to the black piece but only attached it at the middle so the additional wings will float up if I bend them. The two strips underneath it all were also scraps from my desk and all I did was cut them down and attach them as you see. The sentiment was added but I have no idea which set at the moment so cannot attribute it. The butterfly is from an MFT set and the tiny dragonfly was found online.

I’m slowing using up all the bits and pieces I unearthed in my clean up, but my stamp/die organizing is an ongoing process. I’ve signed up for a free organization summit in late April and hope that it will help me figure a few things out.

We’ve enjoyed some lovely sunny weather since yesterday afternoon, so dog walking was really pleasant and after some exercise I won’t feel guilty eating supper. Thanks for stopping by, it is appreciated.

  1. Lovely card! The greeting looks like a SU one. You used it in your Speed Challenge card, so that is why it was in your MISTI. It is from Friendly Hello, sale-a-bration 2022.

    1. Thanks a lot Lisa. I had just found the stamp set when your comment showed up. I’m still trying to put away some products in an organized fashion.

  2. Lovely card. The butterfly is very unique and great use of your scraps. I must admit that scraps annoy me and I usually end of tossing a lot of them because of that. Shocking I’m sure to most. LOL!

      1. I think a lot would have fits with my tossing of scraps, Johanna, however, there are only so many pieces that I can keep and when I want to use something I cannot find it. HAHAHA

      2. I hear you. I am beginning to be a bit ruthless myself, I mean how many small pieces of white CS do I need?

  3. Very cute! Is it a bow or is it a butterfly? What a visually appealing element that is! I like your playful interpretation of the sketch. Thanks for joining in with us again at As You See It. 🙂

  4. Johanna, don’t laugh when I tell you how I interpreted your lovely card when I first saw it. The gold oval looked to me like a freshly baked loaf of sourdough bread sitting on a tablecloth, tied with a lovely bow ready to be given as a birthday gift, a curious dragonfly, flitting by! But however it is interpreted, it is very eye-pleasing and a good use of both scraps and our sketch! Thanks for entering our sketch challenge at As You See It!

    1. Thanks a lot. I find it so interesting to read or hear what others sometimes see in a creation.
