So much is going on in my head and my home that this card has taken me days to create. My 3rd try worked. I’m not into spooky, but I did like the colours at SSC345 Get Spooky Sunday Stamps.
Having seen something similar in design on Pinterest, I decided maybe I could create my own version. The photo wasn’t attributed to anyone in particular so I can’t give whoever came up with the original design any credit.
Using a shimmer sheet (old stuff in my stash) I found one that has the shades of pink and some lavender similar to the colour swatches shown. I cut 2 strips and then using a die tried to cut the circles. It doesn’t cut well but did leave a clear impression so I did the rest by hand. Not a good cutting day for my hands, but good enough. I halved one circle to make the half frames. I had the blue inked watercolour piece in my stash and die cut the leaves and the flowers using a Spellbinders set that I’ve had for a while but not used very often. I added it all to some black CS which in turn was added to the yellow creating a bright border on the black card front. For now I am undecided on a sentiment, so have chosen to leave it off for the time being.
This is definitely quite different to what I would normally create but I like the geometry of it. I wonder if it is too bright to work as a sympathy card? Let me know what you think please. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your time and any comments you may leave.

Love this contemporary style – fab colours combination against the black background. You did a great job with the fussy cutting too and yes, I do think it would work for a sympathy card
