The current challenge at: Color Hues Color Challenge #102 – Navy and Lime Green and this is my take.
Funnily enough I already had the green piece in my stash as I used up a last section of DSP a while ago. Initially I thought I might make this a small square card, but in the end I added it to the navy layer and then to the white card front. Using a small recently gifted sentiment die I cut the shadow from more navy CS and coloured a scrap of white CS with Twisted Citron which I heat set clear. When cool I die cut the actual word and attached them together. The paper ribbon at the bottom is ancient and from my stash. Gems are also stash. The two leaves are done in both navy and white and are a Memory box die. I tucked them just under the edge of the ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you and your time.

Ohhh, very nice. Would be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day if you placed a shamrock on the card. Perfect green for it.

What a good idea, I may do that before I share it as I have some in my drawer.

I always love finding a leftover that works for my current project, so I know how good it feels to put it to use. Yours is a lovely leafy piece and works well with the rest of the card elements. Love the sentiment font too. Thanks so much for joining us at Color Hues!

I love it too when I find a piece to get me already started on a new project and even better yet when it’s in the exact color I need! Your pairing of the DSP with the navy is perfect Johanna, and this card couldn’t have turned out any sweeter…love it! Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Color Hues Challenge!! Marcia (DT) :0)

Great job on this. The colors don’t sound like they would go together well, but they certainly do.
