pretty snowflakes

Amongst my received Christmas cards there were one or two that were too nice to throw away, so I decided to upcycle them. This card is a result of the upcycling.

Using a Christmas napkin from my stash I added it to some card stock and sprayed it with some shimmer spray. I had already chosen the dies I wanted to use so I proceeded to cut the smaller one from silver CS and added the upcycled piece to it. The napkin layer was now dry so I die cut that and then added the smaller one as you see in the photo. The die set is an unbranded one. My sentiment stamp is from a Crafters Companion set and I used an MFT die to cut it. I had the gray thread in my stash so I tied the sentiment through the frame and made a small bow. To ensure it wouldn’t come off or slip, I did add a small amount of glue as well. These layers were then added to the card base.

This is a fairly simple card, but I quite like it. As it works for the Peace on Earth challenge I am adding it there.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you and your time.

  1. Very pretty. I like the loopy die and the sentiment. I didn’t even try to upcycle any cards this year – I just wanted Christmas to be over. Your getting a good start on next Christmas.

  2. Aren’t you the clever lady to create such a beautiful Christmas card. To upcycle a portion of a past received Christmas card and then add all your special craft supplies and talent you have come up with a gorgeous silver and white delicate winner!! Love the bow too.
