Earlier I saw a CAS card that I found quite pretty and the design of this one is due to my seeing it. Except for the oval die cuts mine is completely different to what I saw.
In looking for a stamp set for a different card, I came across my Art Impressions Panda stamp set and I pulled it out thinking it would be a good one to use soon. With the challenge twist at AAA Card Challenge #310: Anything CAS Goes being add an animal or something zoo related it seemed serendipitous that I had already put the set on my desk. First I cut the Craft Addiction oval from a piece of CS and using that I stamped my image. Then I took another scrap piece and using a StampinUP die I cut into it to get a design. This piece was then added behind the main layer and from there that layer onto the card front. I also stamped the sentiment from the same set.
To colour my image I used Prisma pencils and a Sakura gel pen along with a small amount of Gamsol to smooth the colours. To add this to the layer I used a thin piece of foam tape which was just enough to add a slight amount of dimension.
I wasn’t sure whether I had chosen the right design initially, but upon reflection I quite like the result. Many thanks for stopping by – you, your time and any comments are appreciated.

What a fun card. Love the panda in the cup.

Super cute card….the panda in the cup is adorable. Clever to use the die cut oval as your layer for your focal image.
