At first I wasn’t sure if I had any tulip stamps, although I do have a pretty die in my stash. Anyway I went searching and found a Penny Black stamp set called blooms and this little bouquet and butterfly was part of the set. I confess to not using this set very much, but probably will now.
I decided to do some heat embossing so I stamped in VersaMark ink and heat set in gold. I forgot to use my embossing buddy before stamping so there are a few gold sprinkles in places, sigh. Using watercolour pencils I added the colour and then added the layer to a die cut frame that was left over from something else. This was then added to the card front. A gold foiled sentiment from Open Studio and 3 little gems from Waffle flower completed the card.
For a change, an easy card doing a Speed challenge and completed in 8 minutes 45 seconds. No real mishaps thankfully.
I have a night off in the kitchen tonight as my hubby is making pizza from scratch. They are always good to eat and a friend is joining us too.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you and your time.

Pretty card! I have been thinking of my many tulips trying to figure out if I have one that I can create a card quickly. Fun challenge and you created in record time.

Such a pretty little bouquet – it looks lovely in the gold & pink. We’ve all been there with forgetting to use an anti-static pad when heat embossing, but it doesn’t show and those little gems pull it all together beautifully. Thanks for getting speedy with us at As You See It

Thanks Deb. You have a heat wave, and today we are getting some much needed rain. Not a lot but we’ll take it.

Rain would be most welcome here! Today has broken the temperature records for May (over 34C in London!) and it will probably be even hotter tomorrow…

Such a dainty pretty card and set off beautifully with the gold stems, bow and outlining the tulips in gold as well. Lucky you having hubby make his homemade pizza from scratch. I also had a night off tonight as Cliff made a double batch of his spaghetti sauce. A few meals ahead for the freezer. I made a marble chocolate cake and a Ganache icing and shall slice up pieces for the freezer. Love the butterfly too and gems.

I really like the tulip bouquet. It’s perfect for a quick card. My hubby makes pizza too, but he’s assisted by the Red Baron.

Lovely card and the tulip bouquet is quite lovely, too. Great time for the timed challenge. I may have to search my stash for tulips in my stash.
