This is my second card for the challenge and a much more successful attempt.

Using the Deck the Halls set from Gina K I first stamped the cord for the lights and ornament. Then I positioned and stamped the little holder for the rest, after which I stamped the 2 lights and the ornament. I added the tiny sentiment at the top and a few lilac sequins to finish. I also added a small amount of glitter with a gelly roll pen from Sakura. I may do a few more of these as I quite like the effect and it is a simple card to repeat.
Oh yes, more please. Those lights look like they are twinkling.

Great CAS card. The string of lights is definitely “in” this season…loving this!

Thanks Gayle – sometimes I’m lucky and I get it right. Am happy with this one myself.

This is a fun card, too. I like that it’s a CAS Christmas card. You don’t see those often enough.

Another CAS beauty my friend. Great idea to add an ornament to the light cord.

I’m thinking of doing a few more of these as I like it myself. I’m going to have a few extra cards on hand as I remember last year I did need a few extra here and there, and these are easy to make and quick too.

Well, I have to be honest and agree that I like this card better than your previous one, too. This one has more of the lovely white space that makes a CAS card clean and simple in style. It’s bright and festive and nicely done! Thanks for sharing it with us at CC&S!

Thanks – I prefer honesty and I agree with what you say. CAS isn’t my usual go to for creating so it is always a challenge for me to come up with something that I am happy with and that works. I also appreciate that you and your team are careful at how something is evaluated. A careless comment can destroy someone’s confidence – not mine – as I’ve been doing cards for too long to be offended, but others who are either new or less experienced need all the kindness they can get so they can keep going.
