This weeks Global Design challenge is a sketch and the following is what I came up with …

One of my stamping buddies gifted me with a lovely scrapbooking package earlier this year and the pp in the card came from that package. I just love this type of pp, but hate covering it up so in an effort to keep as much visible as possible I used vellum for the center pieces. I also used a left over strip of cream to go behind the heart die cuts. Using a stitched heart die set I cut the two bigger hearts and attached them as shown. I then cut 4 of the small ones in a gold cs to pop up on top. The gold cs matches the gold in the pp. The sentiment strip is from the same gifted package. I am so blessed in my on line friendships.
Pretty card! Looks perfect for the sketch.

Gold with gold can be tricky, you seemed to navigate it to perfection.

The washi paper I have came with some very different golds with a slight texture. They’ve worked well with a lot of things so far but I’m now out of the golds. Must look for some more. Glad you like it.

Johanna, you created another beautiful one! I love your background paper and totally get why you didn’t want to cover much up. It’s pretty through the vellum, too.

Considering the background paper came in the package you gave to me – you should like it. These types of pp are always a favourite of mine and I gravitate to golds and textures when decorating my home. Thanks for the compliment.

That’s funny, as I didn’t remember what papers were in it. Glad you like the golds. It’s the textures that I love.

Love the background paper too. Way to pretty to be covered up but you worked it in and is perfect for the sketch challenge.

Yes it is always hard for me to cover up a beautiful paper so sometimes they stay in a box for a long time because I don’t want to cover them or cut them up. Kind of funny really. I ought to use them more. Glad you like this creation.
