Pear Tree

For the Double D challenge I created this card …

Twelve Days of Christmas Part 1 Days 1-6

I found a free digi stamp here – . Printed and fussy cut it out before I painted it. Using mostly my shimmery water colours I coloured in the image. I did use a few copics here and there to get more definition. Using a Sissix EB folder I made a panel with snow falling and added to front. I then cut out the frame with an unbranded rectangle set and popped it up with foam tape. Added the sentiment at the bottom. Added the fussy cut image inside the frame with some of it popping out at the top. Hubby brought me a glass of sherry with the consequence that the frame is slightly crooked. Remind me not to drink when crafting – lol.

  1. This is wonderful. I love how you have it framed. The offset is perfect. Your water coloring is beautiful, too. I bet it has more shine in real life, but it really is wonderful.

    1. My shimmery water colours are fabulous to use and give such a nice effect. Funnily enough I’ve yet to use them on water colour paper. Must try that soon. Glad you like the card. I like it myself.

    1. I remember when I fussy cut everything and am glad I can still do it although it isn’t easy. If my hands are bad I don’t even try. Having die cuts has spoiled me. Glad you like it. It is even prettier IRL.

    1. Thanks a lot for saying such nice things. I had fun doing this one even looking for the digi stamp as I had nothing in my own collection that would work. I enjoyed trying to get the colours right on the image.

  2. I’m chuckling at your comment. You once said to me you wished you could write really well. So here and now I’m telling you do write well and often you say something really funny when you do it. Glad you like the card. If I can get my head into using my cutting machine I may have a go at creating an svg file out of this digi so I can use it again.

  3. I love the image and Becca has so many free digital stamps. Great card for our challenge. Thanks for sharing with us atDouble D Challenge Blog. We hope you will join us for future challenges.
