Make your own Sunshine

Week 575 – Summer Sunshine

Fab Friday 191

Just Us Girls #539 – Word Week
sketch

This doesn’t often happen but I managed to get one card to work for 3 challenges, one uses sunshine, one lots of yellow and one a sketch. This card qualifies for all three criteria.

Stamp set used is by SSS called showers and flowers. I like this cute set and enjoy pulling it out once in a while. In all my stamps I didn’t have a single one that had the word sunshine in it so I made my own sentiment using my computer. Used a black background with a white font but found the actual sentiment on the Internet. I thought it a perfect choice for that happy little duck. DSP is an old 12×12″ pack bought long ago in Costco and I used a double stitched frame by GKD to cut out the focal image. Image coloured with Inktense pencils and I added the partial sun in the corner from another SSS set.

    1. It was nice to have challenges that needed bright and cheerful as it is pouring rain here today. I’m actually cold and had to put on a fleece vest to warm up.

  3. you should see my garden in the summer – it is full of lavender and is one of my favourites too. Glad you like my card and thanks for the comment.

  4. I love this little image as it reminds me of kicking up all the autumn leaves that I used to do as a child. Instead of leaves he is splashing about in a puddle.
