The colour challenge at Paper Players uses basic gray, real red and tranquil tide and JUG’s requires a frame so I made the above card to fit both challenges. The gray frame is a die I received as a gift and cannot remember the brand of and the Christmas bauble is a 2 die set that I think is by Sissix but am not 100% sure. Stamped sentiment is from a set from Hot off the Press. After die cutting and gluing the bauble together I found a small piece of green ribbon, tied a small bow and added it to the top of ornament. Kept one strip to add from top of frame to look as if it is hanging. I added foam to back to pop it up a bit and I went around the frame with Sakura Gelly roll pens for some sparkle and shine. A few gems here and there to add more sparkle on the ornament and I called it finished.
This is beautiful. Need to get started on my Christmas cards and yours gives me an idea!

What a lovely Christmas bauble. Always good when you can make it work for a couple of challenges. I should get started on my Christmas cards – but right now I’m having too much fun with the Patriotic cards.

Glad you like it Judy. If I’m honest I’m into doing Xmas cards yet either, but this one worked for the colour challenge. I have an idea for the rest of Xmas but it isn’t going to be easy doing a lot of them so I’m still thinking.

This is a great color combination for a Christmas card, and your frame and ornament die cuts work well together. Great job on your card and on making it work for both challenges.

I’ve had that die for a long time but not used it very much. I think when I received it I wasn’t sure how to use it, as my skill set at the time wasn’t that great. These days I’ve stopped thinking of the right way to do something and just keep trying whatever comes into my head. By right way I mean always making something look real, for example an image needing to be in a colour true to life. Now if I want a pink bird or something weirdly different like my fairy card, I just do it.

BEAUTIFUL!! That bauble and frame are so perfect together. I love the color combo, especially since I’m partial to non-traditional colors for Christmas cards. Glad it works for two challenges.
