http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ The challenge is to use a stamped image and mine is a new set from MFT called Hug it Out. Not having a lot of crafting time meant that I haven’t been able to use some of my new purchases and it felt good to use this particular stamp. The hearts and the sentiment come from the same set. The background behind the die cut sun rays is a vellum piece I made a long time ago for my hubby. As he no longer needs it I took it back to use and I cut a piece for this card to put behind the sun rays. The sun die is from Simon Says. Once it was cut I swiped fossilized amber distress ink and a small amount of squeezed lemonade over it. I was able to glue the vellum and the rays easily without the glue showing through. I coloured the image using a combination of Inktense pencils, Prisma colour pencils and my Sakura glaze pens. I tried to make the bear have a furry look but I’m not sure I achieved it. I quite like how the card turned out and my hubby really liked it too. The sentiment and image are perfect for the current times we live in when real hugging isn’t allowed. Can’t wait for that to change.
What a delightful card. Love the hugging image and the sentiment. I’ll be glad when hugging is allowed again too.

Super cute!! Those critters are so cute, especially the racoon. Love your background. Perfect hug for the times we’re in. I too will be glad to have hugs back again and can also see smiles.

As a person who loves to hug – not being able to is hard. Glad you like the card.

Johanna, I love this card! You did a great job on the animals, as most of them appear to have fur. That background is beautiful, as well. Great work! I have to say, I am getting and giving a few hugs at church, but we all have masks on and are cleansing often. I wouldn’t have made it very long without a few hugs from people I know are also being very careful.

I’m happy you’ve had few physical hugs. I only hug my husband at the moment and if I didn’t have him I think I would go mad. Glad you like the card too.

Super cute critters and I am loving the background. I had hugs today from our grandkids and my daughter. I wanted to hang onto them forever….but the kids got squirmy….LOL.

Thanks Gayle – Glad you got to hug the little ones although I can understand them squirming. Kids are funny that way aren’t they.
