UnFrogettable!

Make the Cards Challenge #30

My new SSS stamp kit arrived today and I couldn’t resist using part of it to make a card. I liked the sketch idea at Make the Cards, (a new to me challenge site) and this is what I came up with. I cut some strips out of the plaid paper and added them to the card front. Using a Hero Arts Infinity die I cut the circle and stamped the frog. He was coloured using InkTense pencils and some Sakura glaze. I added the googly eyes and stenciled a small lily pad underneath him. This is partially covered by the sentiment strip also from the kit. Stamped the butterfly and made a booboo so covered that with a small bee button that I cut the back off to make flat. This is a fun kit and I shall have lots of time to play with it more fully soon.

    1. Thanks. this kit came with the googly eyes in 2 different sizes and the stamps include a separate ladybug although the one I used for the frog included the ladybug on his head.

  1. This looks great, Johanna, so adorable. I’m so disappointed that I didn’t jump on this kit. I may need to order this stamp set. I like your oops, I thought it was a fly and it would have been perfect for the frog to snap up! LOL!

    1. If you want any of the images just ask and I’ll stamp them for you to colour. Didn’t think about the frog snapping up a fly so your comment made me smile.

      1. Thanks, Johanna, but I think I may add it to one of my STAMPtember orders from SSS. I really was on the fence with this set. Super cute.
