Since putting my stuff into my new craft room, still in progress actually, I’ve come across many items I had forgotten I had. The red corrugated paper is one such as is the kraft coloured handmade paper. I shall have to label my drawers and cupboards so I can find it all. Lately I pull open all the drawers looking for something that I know is there but can’t remember exactly where I put it.
I’m trying to get Christmas cards done and it is a slow process although I did manage to finish 7 this past week. Another 100 to go based on my recent count. I figured the Color Hue challenge was a perfect one for another Christmas card and this is what I came up with. The red and white letters are die cut from an Origami set of papers and I used some scrap bits for the punched foliage. Using a red glitter Sakura pen I added glitter to the foliage and to the stripes of red on the letters as well as a few tiny dots here and there. The die used is from Dee’s Distinctively.
We are experiencing what the weather people called an atmospheric river and the amount of rain coming down is immense. It is almost continuous so is very dreary outside. Our view is nothing but cloud and mist.
Beautiful card. I really like the paper you used to cut the letters.

Thanks Judy. I added some glitter using a red Sakura pen and like it lot more since doing that.

Great card, Johanna!! My label machine is my best friend. I’d be lost without it. Lol

Glad you like it. My first attempt was a bit bland so I jazzed it up with some glitter and edited my post with a new photo.

Thanks Gayle. My craft room is still a work in progress and because I really need to focus on Xmas cards sorting it properly has to wait. It is, however, nice to have my own space once more and I can close the door on any mess I make.

Love the paper you used for your die cut letters, and the kraft and red foliage is the perfect embellishment. Wonderful card design. Stay safe with the bad weather you are having.

Finding that leftover piece of paper was great as it worked so well for this card. Glad you like the card. Weather is improving a bit and we managed a small hike when we got up this morning and stayed dry doing it.

Thanks Gerry. Weather has improved but there is another front on its way so we make the most of the dry days.

The kind of rain we had was so bad that it seemed as if the sky had opened. Fortunately it has passed through and the next front isn’t likely to be as bad. Glad you like the card.
