Originally my intention was to have this card work for 2 challenges, but it didn’t turn out that way. To make this I used some silver duct tape over a piece of CS which I then die cut. I trimmed it down to fit and added a black piece behind it. Then I took some striped paper and cut a strip to add as a border top and bottom. I think the die came from MFT, but I’ve temporarily misplaced the label so I’m not 100% certain. The angle of the photo makes it look quite large but it only covers 1/3 of the card front.
Using Duct Tape — Awesome!

It can be a challenge to cut but it sure makes for a metallic look.

Awesome is right!! I know duct tape is used for many, many things but I would never have thought to use it for card making. I really like the striped borders.

I don’t remember where I saw a post that used duct tape, but obviously I never forgot about it.

This is fantastic! The fact that you made it with duct tape makes it even more of a perfect masculine card. It is CAS and oh so right.

Yes I agree. Mine is very shiny and I think is more a plumbers tape than actual duct tape, but it works for stuff like this. I usually add it to card stock first and then cut because the backing comes off too easily leaving adhesive everywhere if one uses it without CS.

What a clever way to use duct tape. I wouldn’t have guessed that was what you used. Great idea! I love the look of the silver on the black. Thanks for joining us at Perfectly CAS.
