This card started out as a different idea, but as I messed up the stamping twice I got frustrated and decided to cut out the part that was okay and discard the mess. I had originally intended to stamp all over the black cardstock and then add colour. In the end I only used part of the image and then added metallic watercolours to it, and in reality it looks pretty, but the photograph doesn’t do it justice. Once the paint was dry I fussy cut the piece and popped it up on the yellow layer. That in turn was added to the striped layer and before I added it to the card front I added the yellow ribbon. In retrospect I probably should have dry embossed the yellow layer but so many interruptions today, left me scrambling to finish it and I forgot. The sentiment is from Joy Clair and gems from Trinity stamps. I love these little gems as they change colour in the light but they also pick up colour from the project.
Thanks for looking.
Glad you persevered. Lovely card!

Whatever your original issues were the card turned out beautifully. I really like the black & white striped background. The large die cut flower is pretty amazing. Great layout design, too.

Thanks Gayle. My original intention was to cover the entire black piece with water coloured roses. That said it might have been too busy so this works instead.

Johanna, it looks great, whether you got everything done that you wanted, or not. Glad you had time to make it. It is really pretty, and I bet it looks beautiful IRL.

Thanks so much Golda. I like it better after a few days of not looking at it and also no crafting during that time.

Thank you so much. I did make a small change to the card after it was posted and added some stamped paint splatter in a few places.
