A sketch challenge and a new stamp set seemed destined to be partners so using my new (sale purchase) Hero Arts Bubble bath set I created my card. Starting with the stamping of the 3 images I then coloured them with a mix of gel pens and Inktense pencils adding small amount of Nuvo Crystal glaze to bubbles, water and bottles. While waiting for it all to dry I added the background paper to the card front. DSP all from StampinUp, and then I die cut the images using a scalloped circle set from Sizzix. I messed up the larger image, as paper slipped during cutting. I really didn’t want to start again so I used one of the smaller circles to cover up the poorly cut part and added a hand cut sentiment to the right to cover up the rest. Mental note to myself is to buy some oval dies as I don’t have any decent ones. As well I shall see if I can get the matching dies to this stamp set.
Fun card! I like the bubbles.

Thanks Lisa. I’m not one for soaking in a tub, but many of my friends love to do it.

I love it, but our son is living with us and scrubbing out the tub to be able to take a bath makes it not worthwhile. If he ever leaves, I may be able to take a bath again. 😉 Granted, I like soaking in scented bubble baths and reading a good book, so I can skip the water and bubbles and just enjoy reading a book on the sofa.

This came out great! You did a nice job creating a relaxing scene – love it! And your placement of the greeting and daydream panels looks perfect/well thought out (and not to cover a mistake).

Thanks Gayle. We have a spa tub in the master bath, but I don’t like soaking in a tub much. This one is so deep that getting in and out would be an issue for me even with the hand rails hubby installed.

What a lovely card! I like the way the outer circles contain, almost at arm’s length, all she might need to relax and that the background paper is like the tiles of an exotic bath-house. Thank you for joining in with us at As You See It again.

I love that your circles look like bubbles, Johanna! And that DSP at the back looks just like upscale bathroom tiles! And then there’s the bubbly in the glass as well! Thanks for using our sketch at As You See It Challenges!
