Christmas in July

Peace On Earth Challenge #19 & CHALLENGE #7 – Christmas in July & Trio: Red, White, Blue

Some of my new supplies arrived yesterday and today so I decided to play with them. My hubby is pleased my Birthday gifts arrived and that I’m happy with them and I am pleased as well, but also because some sale purchases arrived and I now have new stuff to fool around with. I used a new Sissix Tim Holtz folder on the card front to give it texture and then I stamped the white layer with a new Woodware set Little Festive Branch for the garland and sentiment. Using red, blue glitter and gel pens as my main colours I coloured in the garland and hanging images. I wanted it to fit all three challenges and managed to make it work. Added the gingham bow at the top and went around the card edges with a black pen I then added it to the card front. I’m almost out of black CS and paper so doing it with a pen helps me to keep some handy until the order arrives. I chose to keep this card simple but have some ideas for the future using the same stamp that maybe more elaborate.

    1. Thanks a lot. I’m so focused on making stuff for my fairy garden I don’t have time to make many cards. Getting one to work for 3 challenges makes it easier.

    1. Thanks Golda. My craft room is so full of stuff all sitting waiting to be organized and put away that getting any cards done is a challenge. Not helped by my making fairy garden items which are messy. It was fun to do a couple of cards yesterday and leave the other stuff alone. The gnome on my desk is half painted so maybe today I’ll get him finished.

    1. Thanks, I’m happy this worked for 3 challenges as it makes it easier considering how my craft room looks at the moment.

  1. Thanks Gayle. I have quite a few new things to play with but what my hubby gave me means I have some really nice folders to play with as well as the new foundry wax from Tim Holtz.
