After some sunny, although cold days, we are back to the milder temperatures and the rain so I’m in my craft room catching up on a few things and posting this card.
It is intended for the AAA Card Challenge #306: Follow Francesca’s Lead and this is my take on her card.
To make it, I used a stamp set from Crafters Companion that came in a kit, and some Gummiapan dies. I stamped the background using Lost Shadow Ink and the sentiment in Hickory Smoke. While the ink was drying I die cut the images and coloured them with watercolour pencils and a Sakura Glaze pen.
When everything was dry I glued the die cuts as you see them. I did debate whether anything else was needed, but CAS means lots of empty space, so I left it as is. Colouring such tiny images is challenging and I need more practice at it, but all in all, I’m happy with the end result.
Thanks for spending time with me today, I appreciate you and your time.

Oh this is such an adorable sweet card. Since i am partial to pets and animals this is a winner for me. Too bad you have rain now but at least you have an interesting hobby to fall back on. We have plenty of beautiful snow and it’s pretty cold. Cliff went to the wood shed for some logs so we have a lovely fire going. We had the insert put in a few years ago instead of just having a screen to the open fireplace. This throws a lot of heat. Happy crafting Johanna.

The colorful “little friends” are cute and stand out nicely on the light gray background stamp.
