I had two angled pieces of this pretty DSP left from a recent project and decided to use them. For this card I used a landscape orientation on some metallic gold CS. Having some new stamps from Michaels Recollection brand I decided the larger sunflower and one of the sentiments would work .
Using some leftover wood grain CS I stamped both with Versamark and then heat set with gold. Using pencils I added colour and with an alcohol pen I blended it all. With a Sizzix scalloped circle die I cut it with one that was a close fit. To reduce the stark white I added a little ink with a sponge around the white space and did the same to the sentiment piece.
Deciding on an angled sentiment I cut it to size and added it along one edge of the PP. The sunflower piece was added next and then a few Waffle Flower enamel dots.
I was slightly disappointed by the quality of the Recollection stamps. They are quite soft and if one presses too hard you get a smudged impression. If I’m buying unbranded stamps I expect this, but I didn’t expect it from a branded set. Using a textured CS probably didn’t help with this either. By heat setting in gold I avoided having it look messy.
The card fits the anything goes at Four Seasons – Fall Season October 2026 so I am adding it there. Thanks for spending time with me today, it is appreciated.

Lovely! I love sunflowers. Recollections is more made like the no name products since it is made the least expensive way. I understand the quality has gone downhill in recent years.
