Global Design has a CASE the designer challenge this week and she used a star. I remembered I had this wreath and decided to use it for my entry.

I die cut the wreath using some Mirri card stock that has a champagne tone to it. I also stamped the sentiment in versamark onto some red shimmer paper and heat set with my new cosmic shimmer powder. Sentiment is from GKD called Noel. I found the music paper in my stash and added it to a Kraft card front. Added the red piece next and then the wreath over that. It still needed something so I found a ribbon that works but was too wide. I painstakingly rolled the ribbon to make it smaller and adhered it at the side. Both the ribbon and the wreath pick up some of the embossing powder tones that aren’t so visible in the photo but in reality are gorgeous.
Gorgeous is almost an understatement. That wreath is very fun and different.

Thanks Gayle. I’m happy it worked out as initially I couldn’t seem to get a design together.

That wreath die is useful for a lot of things although I initially purchased it for Xmas stuff. I like it, as it also has some smaller star dies with it. I had fun making this card and wish that the photo did it more justice.

What a great card, Johanna! I love how the red pops with the darker neutral colors.

Glad you like it Golda. I like the red as well because it brightens it up. The whole card, except for the background; is really shiny and catches the light but a photo doesn’t show that unfortunately.
