For the colour challenge at Sunday Stamps there were five colour choices and I managed three of them in this card. I really wanted that grainy textured look so I used watercolour paper and stamped the poppies several times. In addition I took one of the GKD Vogue vases stamped and fussy cut it adding a gold edge and a green poppy to the vase. With an unbranded poppy die I cut out the flowers and sponged on some colour then cut a few of them to glue into the vase. The sentiment if from another poppy set by GKD received as an incentive. Mounted onto GKD CS. It isn’t quite what I had in my head but I like it nevertheless.
Beautiful card! Love the colors!

I like it too. It has a touch of whimsy with the floating poppies. Your color choices from the options are very pretty, too.

Glad you like it. Don’t know about you, but I find some of the colour challenges the hardest to do.

Nice texture from the water color paper, and good use of the colors for the challenge. I like how you layered your die cut poppies over your stamped ones.

Thanks Lisa – Glad you like this. I didn’t have a large enough vase for the die cut so cutting them and layering was the only way for it to work.

Thanks a lot, I like the texture one gets from watercolour paper as it changes how a stamped image looks.
